NANCY'S PERSONAL STORY
I grew up on a farm in South Dakota. Being the 12th of 16 (yes 16) children made for a full and rich upbringing. Family is a huge part of my story. Childhood memories take me back to all the crazy things that farm kids do. If you grew up on a farm or know someone who did then you know what I mean.
Despite the fact that I love to cook and never ate fast food, my health was always a struggle. Even as a kid I remember not feeling well most of the time. Our mother had passed away at age 47 from heart disease. Our father had been diagnosed with MS at age 35, cancer at age 50 and passed away at age 67. This is obviously not a great family health history!
I graduated from the University of South Dakota in 1991 with a business administration degree. After moving to Colorado I soon married the love of my life, Jason, whom I met in college. After a short career working in sales I was blessed to be able to stay at home with our three girls for over 20 years.
Fifteen years ago I was experiencing major digestive issues, chronic infections, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, depression, and MS-like symptoms. Our children were also having many health issues. Traditional western medicine answers were not helping our symptoms at all and this was what lead me to search for more natural solutions for my health.
I became certified as a Health Coach with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and went on to do the Institute for Functional Medicine program with Dr. Mark Hyman.
MY JOURNEY TO OPTIMAL HEALTH
I remember being mortified when my Functional Medicine doctor told me that it took her 10 years to “heal her gut”. Yet as I was spending thousands of dollars on medical testing, doctor visits, and supplements. The years were passing by and I felt very frustrated. Although I was feeling somewhat better than I had been originally, my symptoms would flare up and my cravings for sugar never went away. I had to be super strict all of the time with diet. The more strict I was with my diet the less foods I was tolerating. When I wasn’t super strict with my diet I felt awful.
I saw a huge shift in all of that about 8 years ago when I dug deeper into the knowledge I already had of essential oils. I studied then with The Essential Oil Institute and Dr. Josh Axe. Through much research and much trial and error, I came up with blends that and natural glandular therapy that worked for healing my gut, addressing biofilms, balancing my hormones, supporting my mood, and healing my pain. I did not have to be as strict on eating clean. I no longer had cravings for anything, my bowels moved well and I felt great. Finally!! In addition to this, I was getting great results with my clients. Double bonus!
I now use my organic handcrafted essential oil blends and the glandular with my clients as the main support along with cleaner eating, addressing nutrient deficiencies and attention to stress and lifestyle.

Essential oils are not a miracle cure but when used in conjunction with clean eating and a mindful lifestyle they can help to reduce food cravings, improve sleep, balance hormones, support mood, cognitive function, attention, focus, digestion, pain, and more.
